Brett Cullum is thirtysomething and lives in Houston, Texas. Generally he can only be found in art cinemas when he goes out to see a movie. He shuns the light and razzle-dazzle of the megaplex in favor of a dim living room and a Sony DVD home theatre system. When not ingesting video crack he can be found onstage in local and professional theatre companies, or working as a mild mannered corporate salesman. He has a shrine built to David Lynch in his dining room, and another to French expressionist film directors in the bedroom -- non-linear narratives are not feared by this hearty pop culture critic. Yet still somehow he has Roger Corman and John Carpenter films falling in the DVD carousel behind a Luis Buñuel flick. Go figure! "Hey, Halloween is just as deep as Belle De Jour!" is one of his favorite arguments.
